大学卒業後民間企業で働いたのち、主にアジア·アフリカ地域における開発プロジェクトに従事する中で社会・経済・環境が両立する仕組みへの関心を高める。2011年にたまたま訪れたブラジルに惚れ込み、アマゾンにおけるアグロフォレストリープロジェクトに参画。2017年から2年間ブラジルで暮らし、年の１/3近くをアマゾンで過ごす。東京大学大学院においてアグロフォレストリーに関する実証経済研究も行っており、”NGOー企業活動ーアカデミア”とそれぞれ異なる強みを持った三役をこなしながら、日本とアマゾンをつなぐサステイナブル·ビジネスの構築を目指している。
Profile
She became interested in “sustainable systems” after having worked in the areas of marketing, social development and the promotion of environmental friendly technology early in her career, primarily in Africa and Asia. She then fell in love with Brazil in 2011, and started engaging herself in an agroforestry project in the middle of the Amazon. Over the course of two years, she spent one third of each year in the jungle managing an NGO project, conducting quantitative research under the University of Tokyo on the impact of agroforestry on local household economy, and starting her own business in order to connect the Amazon and Japan. She is continuously trying to establish a sustainable business by utilizing the various strengths of NGOs, corporations and academia.
